Jesus said: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour." Luke 4v18-19

Introducing...

Pastor Ray was born in England. In 1983 he moved to Israel, it was here he started to study for the ministry. He was ordained in 1989. About the same time he met and married Carolien who was volunteering in Israel at the time. In 1992 they moved to New Zealand and pastored a small church south of Auckland. This church grew over the years and in 2004, sensing that they had completed what God had called them to do they moved to Hamilton to plant this church.

Pastor Ray has a teaching ministry, so expect his sermons to be full of information. Pastor Ray has a degree from Global University, the distance learning center for the international AG movement. In 2004 he was made student of the year. He is currently working towards an MTheo with Otago University. He is head of Old Testament studies at Southern Cross College New Zealand, the AG national Bible School. Ray is currently regional overseer for the Assembly of God Waikato Regional Fellowship. Pastor Ray co-wrote the 2006 revision of the Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truths.

Pastor Carolien is originally from The Netherlands, she came to New Zealand at the age of 14. Travelling the world she met and married pastor Ray. They were married in the Old City of Jerusalem. Carolien has trained to work with autistic and special needs children. In 2003 Carolien was ordained as a minister. She has worked extensively with youth.

Pastor Ray and Carolien have three children, Tamar and Sam. Connor the youngest is a foster child

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
